I'm a weekend behind on this post, but I didn't want to skip over this special weekend with my 3 favorite girls. I spent last weekend in Columbus, GA celebrating with my friends Rachel (far left), Amy (second to left) and Portia (far right). These girls are more like sisters to me... we played college volleyball together... and Amy and Portia and I lived together for 4 years (Rachel was a year younger than us). The 4 of us have spent many, many hours together... long bus rides... sharing hotel rooms... running sprints... sharing bathrooms... sharing clothes... basically just sharing life. I love these girls.
And it had been WAAAAAY too long since we had all been together. Almost 2 whole years. A lot can happen in 2 years...
Amy had her third beautiful baby... This is Hope. She just turned 1. Isn't she stinkin' adorable? The last time we were all together, Amy was pregnant with little Hope... only she didn't know it yet:)
Rachel had her first baby... Lillian Marie. She is so sweet. And Rachel is an amazing mother... so laid back and relaxed. She looked like she had been doing this whole mommy thing for years and years.
Then Portia just got engaged a few weeks ago... Nice ring, huh? Portia's fiance came with her to Columbus, so it was great to get to spend some time with them together. We even got to sneak in a little engagement photo session:)
See. Told you. A lot can happen in 2 years. So, needless to say we had a ton to celebrate over the weekend. But when you are all grown up and have a newborn with the group and 2 other little ones, "celebrating" looks a little different...
...we spent some time relaxing on the back porch...
...we went to David's Bridal to look at wedding dresses with Portia (and with all of the little ones in tow)...
...Journey (Amy's middle child... adorable, right?) helped Portia flip through the bridal catalogue...
...we snapped a few photos of the newly engaged couple...
...we took an afternoon walk, dogs and all, to the neighborhood "fishing hole"...
...Rachel's husband, Paul, and Journey tried their best to catch a fish, but we decided they must have been sleeping...

Love this....arent' friends the best? How wonderful that you have all stayed in touch and remained friends..that says something about YOU and the kind of person YOU are too! Looks like a fabulous weekend together, and the kids are totally precious and no doubt provided their own form of "entertainment"!!
