thankful thursday {link up}

{Link up your own Thankful Thursday post below...}

This Thursday I am thankful for...
1) Iced coffee.  Specifically iced coffee with lots of whipped cream and tons of caramel drizzled on top.  You can't really go wrong there.  Last Saturday I tried Dunkin Donuts iced caramel latte and it was delicious.  I'm not really much of a coffee drinker... that is unless it has more whipped cream and sugar than coffee... in that case, I'm all about it.

2) My baby birdies.  Over the past few months I have watched these two birds come and go... slowly building their little nest in one of the pillars of my front porch.  Then apparently laying eggs there.  And now... those little eggs have hatched and I've been listening to tiny little baby birdies chirp within that pillar for over a month... watching the mama bird fly in bringing them all kinds of food day in and day out.  But just a few days ago I finally saw one of those sweet little baby birds poke its tiny head out of the pillar to call for it's mama.  Sweetest.thing.ever.  I have loved watching this entire process unfold right before my very eyes.

3) Our new hydrangea.  Over Memorial Day weekend, something crazy snapped inside of me and I decided I was going to start planting flowers.  This is crazy for me, because I almost kill everything I touch.  But my next-door-neighbor has recently inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and plant a few things.  I'm especially proud of my pretty pink hydrangea.  I love it.  It makes me happy every time I walk up to our front door... and I'm especially thankful that I haven't killed it yet.

PS... total side note... I'm looking for guest bloggers for the last week of June... you interested?  If so, read yesterday's post.

What are you thankful for this week? Grab the Thankful Thursday button from the right sidebar and link up your own post below. Be sure to visit the other Thankful Thursday participants and share the love!!

I love this post. I love the hydrangeas. I had some pretty blue ones a few years back. I killed them. I do not have a green thumb...at all. Thanks for linking up with me!!

I wish it would get warm enough here for ice coffee. We once had a momma bird make a nest on the top of a ladder we had left out. I was so worried the dogs were going to knock it over but they didn't thank God. It was so cool to see how the momma brought the babies food everyday. Thanks again for the link up.

I drink my coffee the same way you do...but I wasn't crazy about iced coffee the last time I tried it. I might have to give it a try again, though. I mean, you AND the Pioneer Woman couldn't possibly both be wrong, right? No baby birds for us...my cat would just consider it a buffet. :(
