my parent's house... redecorated. {part 3}

Welcome to part 3 of the massive redecoration project... my parent's house.  In case you're just joining in, about two weeks ago my sister and I flew to Houston for four days to completely redecorate my parent's house.  In part 1, we toured around the main family room... then in part 2, we checked out all of the upstairs bedrooms... and now, for part 3 we'll take a look at some of the smaller changes.

Sometimes all it takes is a subtle change to completely transform an entire room.  Maybe moving a chair to a different corner... or maybe just adding a couple of new throw pillows... or what about just adding some new lamp shades... or perhaps you just need a new shower curtain...

Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference...

Like a new shower curtain...

How about some new drum lamp shades and a little height on the table...

Or maybe a bold (but simple) statement on the kitchen table...

What if we just switch the chairs around a little...

More than that... what if we spray paint the legs of the coffee table...

How about a bold gallery wall at the top of the stairs...

 Maybe we could tidy up the bathroom counters a bit...

 What if we use the built-in bookcases to show off some of our most treasured items...

How about if we brighten a drab media room with some punchy pillows...

 Or we could just get another new shower curtain...

There you have it... part 3.  Sometimes we only need to make the smallest change to get the biggest impact.  Stay tuned for the last and final segment next week...

It's amazing how much different everything looks with just little changes!

I absolutely love the photo gallery! I did something similar last winter in my hallway!
