2013 :: a year to embrace

For the past couple of years I've been selecting one little word to help define and shape my upcoming year.  In 2011 my word was delight.  In 2012 my word was wait.  For 2013 I've selected the word embrace.

Embrace: to take up especially readily or gladly; to avail oneself of; to welcome.

Twenty-thirteen promises lots of changes and transitions... some small... and some huge.  But I want to do more than just "ring in" the new year... I want to embrace it.

Embracing new routines... embracing travel... embracing job transitions... embracing home... embracing marriage... embracing adoption paperwork... embracing the process... embracing the big... embracing the small...

...just plain embracing.

What is your one little word for twenty-thirteen??

Ooh, I like this word. I like it a lot. I decided that my 2013 word is going to be happy. I thought it was nice when my mom sent me an email saying that it was going to be her word for 2013 too. Now I have a partner in crime. Happy embracing :)
