thankful thursday {link up}

{Link up your own Thankful Thursday post below...}

This Thursday I am thankful for...

1) Clean slate.  Fresh start... new beginnings... clean calendar... however you want to say it, but this is exactly what I love most about the beginning of the year.  I'm not sure what it is about January 1st that makes it feel so special and untarnished... but it's as if suddenly, the rest of the year holds ample opportunity and possibilities.

2) My own bed.  After traveling for the past 11 days, it feels so good to sleep in our own bed again.  All of the beds we slept in during vacation were super comfortable... but nothing says home like your own bed.  Nevermind the fact that I'll be traveling and sleeping in a hotel bed in just 4 more days:(

3) Low country boil.  Mmmmm!  On our way home from Georgia, Lance and I decided to host a small New Year's Eve gathering with a low country boil.  We might be a little crazy, considering the fact that we got home on New Year's Eve at 4:30pm... but it was totally worth it.  Lance has done a low country boil on New Year's Eve for the past several years in Georgia, so it was nice to keep up tradition here in Louisville.

What are you thankful for this week? Grab the Thankful Thursday button from the right sidebar and link up your own post below. Be sure to visit the other Thankful Thursday participants and share the love!!

Wow, can't believe you pulled off such a cool New Years Eve Party and just arriving home at 4:30 after a whole day's drive. And the Low Country Boil well wow, that is just all I can say
