I couldn't help but to notice how huge Alaska was while we were cruising along the Inside Passage. I mean, even their islands are ginormous. Just mountains and mountains as far as the eye can see.

Alaska is 2.3 times the size of Texas... something Texans are still getting over... and something Alaskans are quite proud of. You should see the t-shirt designs based on this information.

Alaska takes up an entire fifth of the continental US. Alaska is approximately 365 million acres in size... and was purchased from Russia for a measly $0.02/acre. 5% of the state is made up of glaciers. Alaska holds 17 of the 20 highest mountain peaks in North America. Told you... Alaska is big.

Ready to go back? Just don't forget me this time. The test went well. Thank you for thinking of us. :)
LOVE that t-shirt!
the t-shirt is pretty cool. :) And wow, those pictures are gorgeous!!
I never realized how big Alaska was!
It's so easy to forget that AK is even part of our country! When I was there a few years ago, I couldn't help but think the place looked like a world of it's own. It's so beautiful though - glad you had a good time!
