- Matthew 11:28-30
Amber over at Cross My Heart Designs has started something she calls Bible Bloggin' Wednesdays. She is completely adorable... very talented with her camera... and loves the Lord. Her thought on Bible Bloggin' Wednesday is for the blogging community to be a sort of encouragement to one another... and who doesn't need a little encouragement every now and then? It's pretty simple... pick a verse that has really been speaking to you the past few days, months, years, whatever... and write about it. Yep, that's it. Brilliant, huh? So this week, I'm combining my Wednesday efforts with Bible Bloggin' Wednesdays and Picture me Imperfectly over at Capturing Motherhood. They go hand in hand this week...
My verse this week comes from Matthew 11:28-30. We studied this in our community group last night, and it really pierced my heart. The past few weeks I have been running around like a crazy person... trip after trip... flight after flight... photoshoot after photoshoot... bed after bed... you get the picture. And me, being me... I often get sucked into this wacko-perfectionism-mentality... that somehow, someway, everything I do has to be PERFECT. Not only perfect, but done by me, and me alone. You know... so everyone will know how awesome I am... right.
But that's just it... I can't do it on my own.
Because when I do... I fail... miserably.
Thankfully, I have a God that not only walks with me, step by step... but carries my load as we walk. He gives rest to my soul.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

I can so relate. Thank you for speaking your heart and being honest about your shortcomings. xoxo.
Thank you so much for linking up with my Bible Bloggin' Wednesdays! I love what you wrote. I can completely relate to the perfectionism thing :) I constantly get reminded that I can't do it alone. I love this verse and just thinking about how God can take our burdens from us and give us rest. So amazing. Looking forward to Thankful Thursdays! :)
