Well, I kind of did... I showed you what it looked like before we actually made it look like a guest room... when it was that room... you know the one... you also might remember it briefly from the house tour.
But we finally made it look like an actual guest room... ten months ago. Want to see??
Here's what it looked like when we moved in...
It pretty much looked like this for the first two months that we were in our house. Well, actually it took us one month to just purchase the mattresses. And then they sat on the floor for another month.
Then, finally... I.just.couldn't.take.it.anymore. I needed real beds. Like, off-the-ground-beds. I found those amazing headboard thingies at TJ Maxx for $30 each. I have no idea what they are really for, but I have to say, they make amazing twin headboards, don't you think?
If you look closely, you can spot my sweet little cottage blue nightstand that I painted last year. I LOVE how it looks in this room. I also decided to put the framed Alaska map in this room... you can kind of see it in the photo above. The blues in the map perfectly match the blue duvet covers I bought for the end of the beds (Target). Another favorite item is my Goodwill lamp base... I love the vintage feel it brings to the room.
This room quickly went from being my least favorite room in the house to my absolute favorite...
Little Cat agrees.
