It beautifully incorporated the color-scheme... and tasted as good as it looked. And... it didn't turn your mouth blue, so that's always a plus.
2) The bridesmaids.
I had so much fun with this group of girls. We never stopped laughing and I'm so thankful that Jenna has such fabulous girlfriends.
3) The theme.
Jenna and Chris went with a "lovebird theme." They used birdcages as table centerpieces and brought bits of nature into their red and blue color scheme with burlap and twigs... it all came together flawlessly.
4) The flowers.
Jenna's flowers were gorgeous. Beautiful blooms of red and pink roses with Tiffany blue ribbon and twine tied on the stems. They were perfect.
5) The dancing.
The dance floor was never empty... which to me, defines a good wedding. We all shook it on the dance floor...
6) The favors.
This might have been one of my favorite little details... Jenna and Chris are both in pharmacy school... which is how the lovebirds met... so, for their wedding favors, they filled prescription bottles with candy... straight from the future Dr. & Dr. McAnnally:)
7) The toast.
My dad gave a heartwarming toast to the bride and groom... seriously... a real tear jerker. About how Jenna will always be Daddy's little girl, but he can't imagine entrusting her to anyone else... I know, I know... get me another tissue.
8) The photobooth.
BEST IDEA EVER. I've been to several weddings where they have some type of photobooth set up... but this was the real deal. A for real photobooth where you close the little curtain and it prints up a strip of 4 mini photos... yes, real deal. But the best part was how it printed 2 strips of photos... one for you to keep and one that they put in a scrapbook right after the photo was taken and you were able to write your well wishes directly in the book. The bride and groom has an instant scrapbook that they took home with them that night... brilliant.
9) The getaway.
The bride and groom made a run for it while we all chunked, ahem, I mean gently tossed, birdseed at them. They drove off in a cute little convertible with birdseed all in their hair, mouth, ears... who knows how long it took to get all of the birdseed out of her dress.
10) The bride & groom.
They were absolutely stunning on their big day. Totally, completely, madly in love with one another. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. McAnnally! I love you both!
