cutest blue chairs on the block

Several months ago I purchased 3 plastic folding chairs at a yard sale for $5... it was the same yard sale where I found that adorable $3 nightstand. Anyhow... the pastic chairs were pretty pitiful, to say the least...

They were a boring beige color and pretty dirty. I knew I wanted to spray pain them from the moment I handed over my $5. The problem was, what color?

At first, I thought I would play it safe and try a matte black. Ummmm... no, thank you. The matte was all wrong and the black just wasn't doing it for me. I finished one of the three chairs and quit halfway through the second... it just wasn't working.

Then, this weekend I went to Lowes and found this. A beautiful blue can of Valspar spray paint. I was in love from the moment I saw the cap. I purchased 2 cans and came home on a mission...

Sigh... better already. The blue worked perfectly. And the Valspar easily covered the black I had already painted on one of the chairs.

Seriosuly... I think I'm in love. And hopefully, Lance doesn't mind blue grass... I mean, we do live in the blue grass state after all...

This was by far one of the easiest, most rewarding DIY projects I've ever done. It took me 30 minutes- tops, and the chairs turned out so flippin' cute. Love them. By far the cutest blue chairs on the block:)

I love them! I can see why you stayed behind and didn't make the trip to GA. :) I did miss seeing you though! Matt and I are still dying to come to Louisville to spend a weekend with you guys. Soon hopefully!

Love this. Our kitchen chairs (came with the house) are pretty sad. I really want to find an old wood table and chairs and repaint them. Someday...
