30 by 30 :: progress

So, a while back I came up with a list of 30 things I want to do before my 30th birthday.... And what better time to check the progress of my 30 by 30 list than the day before my 29th birthday?

I'd have to say, I think I'm moving along quite nicely. With exactly one year left, I'm feeling like we can make this happen folks....

1. be a local tourist

2. see the Dave Mathews Band live in concert ::concert is July 27th and the tickets are on the fridge!

3. make someone’s day anonymously

4. organize my old pictures ::working on this one right now

5. sleep under the stars

6. watch "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Casablanca" ::watched Casablanca... so good.

7. edit and update my website

8. throw a themed party

9. photograph my first wedding ::check. second wedding is scheduled for July 10th!

10. put in some volunteer hours

11. go to a Colts game

12. buy a pair of toms ::check. and they are AMAZING.

13. get my second tattoo

14. workout consistently

15. pay off debt ::just paid off credit card number 2 yesterday.

16. take a class/workshop ::have been going to some apple one to one clinics, but haven't decided if this counts yet.

17. read a classic

18. have a massive yard sale ::check. best yard sale ever.

19. put that yard sale money towards any open debt (see #15) ::check. every penny went to visa.

20. clean out the craft closet

21. bake cookies for my neighbors

22. take a hot air balloon ride

23. visit Chicago and/or Seattle

24. attend a book signing

25. find a beer that I like ::any suggestions?

26. support a young missionary ::AJ's going to Africa... & Joey's going to Nicaragua...

27. learn a new word, and actually use it

28. organize the contacts in my address book

29. check out all the Harry Potter hype ::working on this one... currently reading book #2

30. learn about my “family tree” and history

I love this 30 by 30 thing. I wish I could copy it, but I only have 6 months so I don't know what I can do in that time. Good beers: mexican beers are good (dos xx, corona, etc.), heineken is a classic but has a skunky taste, I also love a good heffeweizen. I'd start with those...

I'm thinking the beer should be changed to wine. Then I could give suggestions.

ha! marti...you see wine, i have no problem finding a favorite... it's the beer that i'm struggling with. i have found a few that i enjoy, but nothing that i'm like, "man, i could really use a _(insert favorite beer here)_ right now." thinking about having a tasting session this weekend with some of liz's suggestions.

You go! I can't believe how much you have already accomplished. I know that it wasn't anonymously but you made my day with the giraffe plates! So I personally think that counts. I have a beer book from when I took that class in beers of the world. I'll try to bring it in and maybe my list of favs. Also I just think I thought of a fabulous birthday gift for you. :)

On the beer one, next time you are in Houston, there is a beer made in Conroe (I know!) by a brewery called Southern Star. The beer is called Bombshell Blonde, and it's delicious.
